All Blacked‐up. A great highlight especially for visitors onSaturday and on Sunday. This, our Border Morris is fun for all, thanks to Richard in full regalia, accompanied on accordion by Flis.
The session - near the middle of the day, is great to drop into, and to share with easy participation.
Any visitor - especially with interested young children, is likely especially to find joy taking part in this.. Watch your kids enjoy; YOU have a try too ! Then eat‐out with us, sharing a healthy varied menu ! A visit from a complete(ly nutty) Border Morris Side is anticipated in 2012.
**************************************************************************************************************************************** We have invited Anne Leach whose charisma added such brilliance at our last event - to come again - We hope she will MC for us, on Sat night, and in her lively manner together with Caspar - Will bring us some more of her interesting repertoire of International Dances. ****************************************************************************************************************************************
We hope a teacher who has not visited Gt Alne before will bring us workshops in Balkan Dance. Watch this space !
**************************************************************************************************************************************************** Julian Stanley took us through lovely Fixed-pattern French Set Bourées in his 2011 workshops. We look forward to more of these on Monday, and maybe some for Sunday too. ****************************************************************************************************************************************************

We have an additional entertainment spot also from James. His capable talent with guitar is a pleasure for others to share. On Monday we look forward again to a part song workshop if James can once more stay just a little longer with us.

Blacking‐up with burnt cork is a characteristic, striking and longstanding tradition of Border Morris. (As is its accompanied playful mischief‐making.) Do come along. Participate in the fun! **********************************************************************************************************************************
Our ace new additional entertainment spot for at least one dance evening will be The Little Sunshine Band . Nicola's clear, powerful soprano upper melody is beautifully complemented by the more mellow tones of Amelia's harmonies. Peter's sensitively guitar‐picked accompaniment completes the lovely effect of this ace, professional‐sounding, talented trio.
Those lucky enough to witness their premier at Lichfield Folk Festival in June know we're in for a truly sensational acoustic treat.
You can obtain some appreciation of how brilliant the premier performance sounded, if you - cLICKhere for video on u‐tube.
You may there enjoy the trio's skilful delivery of Love is a Tanglewood Tree and The River . (This opens in You Tube within a new tab. You may click there & view "full screen". Try then to stay on THIS website, without getting distracted within YouTube.) **********************************************************************************************************************************

Why this working Monday in April? 1) Specialist dancing for YOU!
2) Space to enjoy the Hall.
3) Picture here after the waitress- served delicious lunch of your choice with time to chat too.
4) Even if, as in 2010, bluebells are before their best in early April, Oversley Wood - our final walk - - is unforgettable and enchanting.
The carpeting of white wood anemonies was outstandingly beautiful in the late springtime of 2010. A most lovely wildflower show to look forward to this April too -
And the primroses WILL be ready to enjoy! A Spring experience not to miss. =====================================================================================================
